The life of Carlos, a 35-year-old young man, was that of any active and healthy person until a slight tingling in his hands changed everything. ⏱️💔

What seemed like temporary fatigue turned, in less than 48 hours, into total paralysis that left him quadriplegic. Doctors gave him the diagnosis: Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s nerves.
The impact was devastating. Carlos went from complete independence to depending on others for the most basic tasks. But the tragedy did not end at the hospital. Carlos is currently living an additional ordeal: he lives on a third floor with no elevator.
Despite the seriousness of his condition, Carlos has not given up. His story has gone viral on Instagram not only because of the harshness of his case, but because of his resilience.
He has decided to “challenge” the syndrome, undergoing intense rehabilitation in the hope that his nerves will reconnect.
