What has he done to his face? This is what the man known as the “Colombian devil” looked like before and what he looks like today after his extreme modifications

Caim Mortis was born and raised in a working-class neighborhood of Bogotá, and today media outlets around the world call him the Colombian devil.

His body features silicone horns on his forehead, Teflon implants in his arms, piercings all over his face, a modified nose and mouth, a split tongue, and cropped ears. Even the whites of his eyes are painted black. By his own count, 80 % of his skin is tattooed, and he has 52 piercings and 45 implants: “I’m a canvas, I’m a showcase”, he says.

That journey has made him the Colombian with the most body modifications, the third most modified person in Latin America and, reportedly, one of the ten most modified people on the planet.

But he corrects that account: his changes are inspired not by religion, but by animals. His eyes are those of a horse, his nose is feline, his tongue is that of a viper, and the texture of his arm imitates a crocodile’s skin.

He tells it with a laugh, convinced that beauty is relative and that everyone can do whatever they want with their body.
