“I am the way I was born; nobody is perfect, and you have to accept your flaws and learn to love yourself”-Kelly Brook

For years, they said Kelly Brook had “the perfect body”, but she never seemed particularly interested in being perfect.

The British model was described in various media outlets as one of the women whose body proportions most closely matched certain studies on the so-called “ideal body”, especially because of her curvy figure and the relationship between her waist and hips.

The fact drew attention precisely because for a long time beauty standards favored much slimmer bodies, while Kelly’s figure even came to be described as “plump” under some traditional standards.

But she has spoken about her body from a much less mathematical perspective. “I am the way I was born”, she once said, defending the idea of accepting imperfections and learning to love yourself without chasing an impossible image.

Perhaps the irony lies there: while others tried to prove with numbers that her body was “perfect”, Kelly had been saying for years that no one needs to be.
