“When I’m no longer rapping, I want to open an ice cream shop and call myself Scoop Dogg”, the artist said, a phrase that ended up being almost prophetic.
Because Snoop didn’t even have to wait until retirement: in 2023, he launched Dr. Bombay, his own ice cream brand, while continuing to make music. And it’s not his only venture outside rap: he has also published successful cookbooks and developed various businesses.
In the end, what started as a play on words ended up coming quite close to reality: “Scoop Dogg” arrived before Snoop Dogg left the microphone. 🍨🐶
