Koa is barely three weeks old. And their mom decided to show exactly what her body looked like after bringing him into the world.
Isabella Ladera, a 26-year-old Venezuelan based in Miami, filmed herself in maternity underwear, without filters or poses. She pointed out the sagging of her abdomen, joked about her underwear —”it looks like a diaper”— and then wrote the phrase that changed everything: “Where there used to be abs, now there is sagging. I am accepting the process, honor yourself. Your body has just given life, you are a home”.
Known for sharing beauty routines with millions of followers, she chose her most vulnerable moment to say the opposite of what dominates social media. No perfect bodies 20 days after giving birth.
Just the truth of a new mother asking other women not to punish themselves over something that, according to her, is worth more than any figure: having given life.
