Why do some people believe that male-to-female transitions seem to turn out better than female-to-male ones?

The comparison between male-to-female and female-to-male transitions went viral using Hunter Schafer and Elliot Page as examples, but the question requires great care. It is not correct to say that one transition “turns out well” and the other “turns out badly”, because each process depends on age, genetics, goals, medical treatment, and personal expectations.
