Wilma was 12 years old and had been ill for some time.
Astrid of Norway died at the age of 94 on September 11, 2026; a few days later, her little dog also passed away. The princess had adopted Wilma in October 2022, at the Norwegian Solplassen center, and even took her to official events. Their bond was very strong, and perhaps that is what made them leave almost together.
For those who loved them, the loss came while they were still mourning the princess: two farewells so close together, and a companion who left behind a void that is hard to measure. 🐾
