Francesco Totti didn’t have to think long. When Corriere dello Sport asked him which player he would have liked to share the pitch with, the eternal captain of Roma named O Fenómeno.
He didn’t talk about titles or Ballon d’Ors. He talked about goals, and lots of them. “With me behind him, he would have scored 400 or 500 goals with his eyes closed”, said the Roman idol, who spent two decades delivering impossible passes from the attacking midfield position 🔥
This comes from a man who turned almost all his teammates into goal scorers and faced Inter’s Ronaldo at his best, before injuries clipped his wings. A rival who, years later, still draws a sigh from him and prompts the same question: how many more goals would Ronaldo have scored with a No. 10 like Totti behind him?
