A Brazilian woman named Sabrine Matos created an app called “Plinq” that allows you to do a kind of quick “background check” on a person using only their name and phone number.

The idea came about after Sabrine saw several cases of violence against women in 2025. She wanted to create a tool to help women feel safer when meeting new people. According to her explanation, the information already existed publicly on the internet, but it was difficult to find or gather manually.

The story went viral after she revealed that she developed the app using Lovable.dev, an artificial intelligence platform for creating applications, despite not knowing how to code.
