Woman admits she doesn’t feel guilty about not cooking for her daughter: “I DIDN’T COME TO MOTHERHOOD TO BE A DOMESTIC SLAVE”

Casandra Ochoa, head of shift at the Italian Hospital of Córdoba, sparked a storm on social media after admitting that she doesn’t always cook for her four-year-old daughter.

Far from apologizing, the doctor and master in psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology insisted that her mental health is the priority. Casandra explained that, after 24-hour on-call shifts, she prefers to use her energy to play and connect emotionally with her little girl, rather than locking herself away for hours in front of the stove due to social pressure.

The professional denounced a double standard: “If a man says he doesn’t cook, he gets applause; if a woman does, they destroy her.” She maintains that delegating tasks is not abandonment, but rather a way of being a more present mother. Is eternal sacrifice the only path to being a “good mother,” or are we witnessing the end of the domestic mandate?
