Woman ate almost her entire salad before discovering a live frog hiding among the lettuce—and ended up adopting it as her pet 🐸

Becky Garfinkel, from Corona, California, had already eaten almost her entire Taylor Farms mixed-lettuce salad when she noticed something moving on her plate.

It was a frog. A strict vegetarian due to severe meat allergies, Becky screamed, vomited, and removed the animal from among the leaves to rinse the dressing off it. It was then that she discovered it barely had any signs of life: its body was limp and it was barely breathing. Her husband acted quickly and performed chest compressions by pressing with a single finger, again and again, until the frog reacted.

Rather than get rid of it, the couple took out the old aquarium they had used for a previous pet and decided to keep the animal. They named it Lucky. Becky contacted Target through Facebook, and the chain offered her a 5-dollar gift card while it investigated the case with the supplier. She was clear: she does not plan to eat salad again.
