September 14, 2025 in Fort Myers, Florida, is a day these police officers will not forget, thanks to the drama Keyla Molina caused over her car during a traffic stop.
Around 6:30 in the evening, officers stopped a couple in a black Ford Mustang for driving at a speed excessively above the limit. The vehicle was going 110 mph in an 50 mph zone. In addition, officers observed that they ran a red light, drove in the opposite lane, and nearly crashed into another vehicle.
However, Keyla was not the person behind the wheel, but her partner, identified as Alejandro Ross, who could not give any explanation for his reckless and dangerous behavior and could only mutter a “sorry”.
But the real problems began when they asked Keyla for her ID.
But I don’t understand. If I wasn’t driving, why do you want my ID?
The officers spent several minutes asking Keyla for her identification, but only the threat of being arrested would make her follow instructions. The officers could smell alcohol in the car, which started a driving under the influence investigation.
While Alejandro admitted to having drunk a little and went through the protocol corresponding to the investigation, a fear took root in Keyla’s mind: they might take her car. Little by little she began begging the other officer that, beyond whatever happened to her boyfriend, they not take away her vehicle.
Despite knowing that the decision was not up to the officer she was speaking with, Keyla insisted that they give him a warning or a ticket, but not arrest her boyfriend or take her car, but after several minutes sunk in her speculations, her only concern became the car.
Keyla revealed that the vehicle was an inheritance from her late father, she had been driving it for 4 years, and it took her 1 year to pay it off. Suddenly her tears and desperation became more evident. Not even 10 minutes had passed and she could no longer stand the uncertainty.

The other officer had to stop his investigation to tell her to calm down and stop interrupting the process. After determining that Alejandro was under the influence, he would be arrested, causing Keyla to lose control. Out of nowhere she assumed he would be in jail for 30 days, then got angry with him for his irresponsibility and for not listening to her about not driving her car.
The officers determined that as long as someone else drove the vehicle, Keyla could take the car, and otherwise she could go get it the next day. But when they told her to call someone to come pick her up, Keyla heard only one thing, “They’re going to take my car”.
Her screams and desperation kept the officers from properly explaining the options she had, ending with her provoking the officers into arresting her. The result was a physical altercation to restrain her, which included an alleged bite by Keyla on one of the officers.

Keyla was charged with disorderly conduct due to intoxication and battery on law enforcement officers, while Alejandro pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to one year of probation.
