A viral video sparked major controversy on social media by showing a passenger from a ride-hailing app threatening a driver with reporting him for sexual harassment if he did not speed up the trip and take her to her destination faster. The footage triggered a wave of reactions and opened the debate about the risks faced by both drivers and users on these types of platforms.

After the case spread, the affected driver, Isaac Lozoya, said the situation was very uncomfortable and assured that he would not wish a similar experience on any coworker. According to his account, the passenger constantly insisted that he move faster and, given the tension that arose, he decided to contact platform staff to report what was happening. Lozoya also said he does not know how the video that ended up circulating massively on the internet was leaked.

The controversy grew when the passenger’s alleged identity began circulating on social media, identified as “Leydy González”. However, several women with the same name reported having received insults and threats from users who confused them with the woman in the video. The case ended up showing not only the conflicts that can arise during a trip, but also the risks of publicly identifying people without official confirmation.
