A call in Louisville, Kentucky, left all the neighbors shocked. A woman was screaming for help from the second floor of a house.
When police arrived, they discovered a true fortress; every door and window, except on the second floor, was blocked. Luckily, officers found a ladder to reach the woman, uncovering the traumatic scene.

The woman, with some injuries on her face, had managed to kick the window to alert the neighbors. Her boyfriend had chained her up and installed a pole so she could dance without clothes for him and any friend he brought over, even forcing her to sleep with them.
Without the keys to free her, one of the officers found an axe to break the chain’s link to the floor. The woman, in shock, did nothing but apologize to the officers.
The house was a true fortress where only the man’s keys could open the locks. With support from the fire department’s rescue unit, the woman was able to get out of the house and free herself from the chain around her neck.
Later, the woman would reveal that she and the man, identified as Moises May, had a 1-year-old daughter who was in the custody of the woman’s sister.
The man stayed away from his house for two days, until he finally returned, at which point he was arrested and sentenced to more than 30 years in prison for kidnapping, intimidation, assault, harassment involving physical contact, human trafficking, among other charges.
However, due to the state’s legal system, the man could receive parole after serving 6 years of actual prison time.
