Romina Peralta lives in Lomas de Zamora and in 2020 fulfilled the first quinceañera dream of a girl who attended the community kitchen that she herself ran with her children. She never imagined that gesture would turn into something so big.
Today she organizes an average of one party per month, and her initiative has already reached La Plata, Laferrere, Lugano, Corrientes and Córdoba. All through donations: dresses, hairstyles, makeup, cakes and souvenirs contributed by neighbors and supportive entrepreneurs. She coordinates everything on her own, without her own car, solving unexpected problems until the last minute.
She went through depression after her father’s death and a separation, and thought about giving it all up. But it was precisely those parties that helped her move forward. “The best part is the girls’ excitement; they don’t expect it, they cry with happiness”, she says. Today she needs a larger space for donations and is looking to add sponsors to help her continue giving quinceañera dreams.
