A Chinese woman named Zhao lived for nearly 48 years with a bullet lodged in her head without knowing it. It all began in 1967, when she was 14 years old and felt a strong blow to her temple while walking down the street.
At the time, she thought someone had thrown a stone at her, so her family only cleaned the wound and went on with their lives. Decades later, Zhao began to suffer from headaches, breathing problems, and a constant feeling of nasal congestion, without knowing the cause.
That was the case until doctors at the China Medical University Hospital discovered that she had a 2,5-centimeter bullet embedded near the nasal cavity. In the end, the removal was a success and the woman survived a very strange case that leaves more questions than answers.
