It was around 0:30 in the early morning in Rosario, Argentina. A 36-year-old man was lying in bed, calmly checking Instagram on his cellphone, unaware that his partner, a 27-year-old woman, had been hiding inside the bedroom wardrobe for a while.
The argument they had had hours earlier was not over. She suddenly came out of the closet and confronted him. Then she went to the kitchen, took two knives, and returned to the bedroom to attack him, injuring him in the chest and left leg. Amid the chaos, the couple’s young son heard everything and made a decision that saved his father’s life: he called the police.
The officers arrived at the residence on Lejarza Street at 5700 and had to break down the door to get inside. They found the woman still holding the knives and subdued her immediately. The man was taken to the hospital, and doctors confirmed that his injuries were minor and not life-threatening. The woman was detained by the Santa Fe Police.
