The Redcar Racecourse in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom, was the scene of a shocking incident when a woman approached a horse to check the stirrups and the animal reacted by delivering a brutal kick that struck her directly, knocking her down instantly while the people nearby watched in astonishment.
The woman fell to the ground unable to react after the violent blow, and racecourse staff along with other attendees quickly came to help her, while the seriousness of the injuries she suffered after receiving the direct impact of the horse’s hind leg was being assessed, an animal that can react unpredictably when it feels its personal space is being invaded.
“Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern following the unfortunate accident that occurred yesterday in the Redcar paddock, where an employee from Richard Fahey’s stable was kicked by a horse. The employee was quickly treated by specialized medical personnel at the scene of the accident, and subsequently underwent further tests at the hospital”, they stated from the event’s account.
