A moving case went viral on social media after the outcome of a long family mourning was revealed.
For 4 continuous years, the young American woman Chastity Patterson wrote daily texts addressed to her late father’s old phone number, using that communication channel to share her academic achievements, telling him that she had overcome cancer, romantic disappointments, among other things, and thus feel that she was speaking to her own father as a way of coping with the painful grief.
On the night before the fourth anniversary of his passing, she received a reply from a user named Brad, who had inherited the phone line and explained that he had read all the messages during the 4 years and that they had helped him overcome the loss of his own daughter, who had died in a traffic accident that occurred in 2014. In addition, Brad told her that he was proud of her for her strength and encouraged her to keep moving forward.
