Caitlin Harrington reached 272 kilos.
She was 35 years old, lived in Salem, Massachusetts, and for a long time believed it was already too late for her. The steering wheel of her car pressed against her stomach whenever she drove, until on Christmas 2023 that pressure led to something serious: an infection that sent her to the hospital for an entire week. There, she understood that her body was asking for help.

Since then, she has lost approximately 148 kilos and now weighs 124. But when the number on the scale stopped rising, another problem appeared that no one had told her about: the excess loose skin left behind after losing so much weight so quickly. Before all this, Caitlin had spent years trapped in a feederism community, where men encouraged her to eat nonstop. Today, she works with adults with intellectual disabilities and shares every kilo of her journey with more than 287,000 followers on Instagram.
“I promised myself that I was going to regain control of my life”, she says now. And it still isn’t over.
