Nicole was 25 when it all began with discomfort in a tooth. 🦷
A dentist examined her and found nothing. Doctors talked about sinusitis, muscle tension, and a common infection, and gave her antibiotics that never worked.
The pain persisted, stubbornly, until a mass appeared near a molar and a biopsy changed everything: it was salivary gland cancer, one of the rarest types there is.
They removed teeth and part of her palate, and she underwent 30 days of radiotherapy, which she described as swallowing acid. In 2020, she was declared cancer-free, but the disease returned, and then returned again.
Her story, known as ‘Nicole’s Crooked Smile’, went around the world for one simple reason: it began as an ordinary toothache. 😢 Sadly, she passed away in June 2025; her family and social media followers remember her fondly and thank her for raising awareness of these types of illnesses, always wanting to help everyone despite suffering and fighting for her life.
