Molly Kochan was 42 years old when she learned she had little time left. Her stage IV breast cancer had already spread to her bones, brain, and liver. It was terminal. But instead of giving up, she decided to do something many would consider unthinkable: she left her husband after 15 years of marriage and set out to have sex with nearly 200 men.

“I literally wanted to sleep with each and every person I saw”, she confessed on the podcast “Dying for Sex”, which she recorded with her best friend Nikki Boyer and which later became a Disney Plus+ series. For Molly, each encounter was a way to reclaim the femininity she felt she had lost after the double mastectomy and the treatments.

On her blog “Everything Leads to This”, she wrote about lingerie, about the pleasure of feeling desired, and about the search for her own desire after years of pleasing others. “One of the tools is this new pleasure of lingerie. Each garment is like a love letter to my body”, she wrote. Molly Kochan died in 2021, but she left behind a legacy of honesty, courage, and a story that continues to inspire.
