The statements by Argentine coach Néstor Apuzzo left no one indifferent when he said that during the World Cup everyone has an opinion about soccer as if they were a coach.

Apuzzo first tried to put his idea into context by saying that “one has to be respectful of people’s opinions”, but no one expected what he would say next.
“Now you’ll see that next month there are going to be 50 million coaches because of the World Cup. All women are coaches, gays are coaches, normal people are coaches”.

His words were widely questioned because many interpreted that he was using discriminatory language. Strong criticism of the coach arose on social media.
