Wu stopped a bullet train in the city of Shenzhen, China, for her friends who were running late, but regretted it the next day when the police arrived at her home.

Wu, 45, planted her body in the doorway of a bullet train at Shenzhen North station on April 18, 2025 — and did not move. Her three friends had gone to the wrong platform and, while railway staff tried to pull her away, she ignored them with her eyes fixed on her phone and signaled to her companions to run. 😤

What is dividing social media is not just what she did, but how she did it: without an ounce of nerves, with a calm that many read as pure arrogance. “It was a train full of people, not her private taxi”, some write. Others defend her: “Who wouldn’t do something like that for their friends?”. The next day, police tracked her down in Xiamen and detained her for disrupting railway operations. The train, curiously, arrived on time. 🚄

Solidarity or selfishness in disguise? Was the arrest justified, or was it an overreaction?
