A trans influencer named Lilly Tino decided to show on TikTok something many people would probably keep only for their close circle: how her face was looking after facial feminization surgery.
First, she uploaded images freshly out of surgery, with her face bandaged and swollen. Then she showed the result 35 days later, already much more recovered. And as usually happens on the internet, people didn’t just look: they also had all kinds of opinions.

Some supported her, but others were cruel and told her she “still looked like a man.” Lilly didn’t let it slide and responded that the change was huge for her, even if others didn’t understand it or expected a more obvious transformation.
She also said she had buttock surgery, so the video wasn’t just a pretty before-and-after for social media. It was part of a bigger process, with pain, recovery, and comments on top of it.

And maybe that’s the strongest part of the story: posting something so personal knowing that the internet is going to give its opinion anyway. Lilly didn’t just show the pretty result; she also showed the uncomfortable part of the process, with bandages, swelling, and zero filter.
But she didn’t escape the criticism and mockery…
