Sergio Camello, Rayo Vallecano forward and Olympic champion with Spain in Paris 2024, surprised people by revealing how he views money despite his career as a footballer.
The attacker explained that he keeps his feet on the ground because of how his family raised him: “You won’t see me buying myself a 600-euro shirt when my mother earns 700 a month”.
The forward also said that he is not someone who squanders money and that, although he allows himself a few indulgences, he prefers to help his loved ones rather than spend on expensive products.
After his success at the Olympic Games, Camello acknowledged that his fame had grown, but said he prefers to keep a low profile and continue enjoying his life away from the spotlight.
