Lucas Gabriel da Silva wrote his résumé by hand to look for work. He is 19 and listed his experience collecting recyclable materials on a sheet of notebook paper, accompanied by a passport-style photo.
At the end, he left a phrase that sums up his request: “I’m not asking for a favor. I’m asking for an opportunity”. Lucas lives with his mother and younger siblings, and wants to find a job to help his family.
He also dreams of building a better future. On that sheet, his experience as a recycling collector and his goal of working come together: finding an opportunity that will allow him to contribute at home and move toward that future with his family.
