Angel Rojas, 24, died after suffering a serious workplace accident at Restland Cemetery in Dallas. The incident occurred in October 2025, when a heavy burial vault fell on him and crushed him from the waist down.
Trapped and critically injured, he sent a voice message to his wife telling her that he loved her and that he wanted to return home. Emergency crews worked for more than 45 minutes using hydraulic tools and air bags in an attempt to free him.
Although he was able to be taken to a hospital, the young man died shortly afterward due to the severity of his injuries. His family accused the funeral home of negligence, asserting that he never should have been handling machinery or moving such heavy structures without supervision or support.
