The mysterious death of Salman Mirza, a 25-year-old man from India, has left authorities puzzled and his family shaken after it was revealed that he had sealed his genitals with epoxy adhesive, an extremely strong industrial product, with the intention of preventing his ex-fiancée from getting pregnant during a sexual encounter at a hotel.

Mirza was found unconscious among bushes near the hotel by a friend who took him home, but his health quickly worsened and he had to be taken to Sola Civil Hospital, where he ultimately died of multiple organ failure, a death that authorities directly attribute to the adhesive that damaged his internal organs.

The officer in charge of the case, Premsukh Delu, explained that the couple had consumed substances in the hotel room and, having no condoms, decided to apply the adhesive to his private parts as a desperate contraceptive method, without imagining that the decision would cost the young man his life; he was the sole provider for his family.
