Hasan Douzaklian is 22 years old and has a phrase he repeated without hesitation: he is heterosexual.
He said it on social media after admitting that he had slept with more than 50 men and while he continued uploading content with other men, something that already has its own name in the world of adult creators: they call them ‘GFP,’ men who present themselves as heterosexual but have paid intimate encounters with other men. The label stuck to him almost immediately.
Weeks later came the detail that changed the conversation: Hasan went public with a relationship with Kayleb, a young American man, and formally asked him to be his boyfriend with a bouquet of roses during a vacation in Cancún, Mexico.
Kayleb, for his part, said that he has spent two years trying to obtain a visa to travel to the United States without success.
Between the beach photos and the label Hasan refuses to let go of, the debate over what it means to define oneself as heterosexual today remains open.
