Alma Adriana Alonso was 22 years old and was on her way to the university when a driver took her life and fled, in 2023. The news devastated her family. But what no one expected was that the blow would also break Camila’s heart, her little dog.
Her relatives noticed that from the very first day Camila stopped eating, lay down, and wandered through the house looking for the one who was no longer there. They decided to take her to say goodbye. “I saw her little eyes filled with deep sadness”, Alma’s mother wrote. Two days later, Camila died. 🐾
The family cremated the little dog and placed her ashes in a small wooden doghouse next to Alma’s resting place. “Camila is with you now, you will not be alone”, her mother wrote to her. Together, in the end, exactly as they had lived.
