Piers Morgan saw it and fired off a scathing tweet: “Would Susan Sarandon wear this to a funeral? No. It was therefore horribly inappropriate for an In Memoriam tribute”. He also called it “vulgar”. He insisted he wasn’t talking about her age, but many read it as a rebuke of an older woman for showing her cleavage, and many also commented against the actress.
Sarandon didn’t apologize. The next day, she posted a 1975 photo from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, wearing a white bra, with a message: “Today’s #TBT is dedicated to @piersmorgan” 😏 Users flooded the internet with photos of their own cleavage, and Morgan, 15 minutes later, posted an edited image of himself.
In the end, Morgan tweeted that his cleavage was “magnificent”. Was there anything to defend?
