Bonnie Tyler had the most famous mane of the 80s, and in Denmark it nearly cost her an entire lock. A rock critic, convinced that such impossible hair had to be a wig, decided to check by pulling it in the middle of an interview, without asking permission.
The Welsh singer, born Gaynor Hopkins, didn’t stop to think of a polite response. She grabbed him by the testicles and threw the question back at him with the same logic: “Are yours real?”. The journalist discovered, in the worst possible way, that the mane was 100% hers.
Tyler told this story years later with the same mischievousness, admitting that her mother would have scolded her for such a method. She described it as one of her most scandalous moments, and honestly, the critic had it coming all by himself.
