Yuanbao has the face of someone who’s been through enough, but he doesn’t move.
In China, a child found a way to make math more entertaining: he stuck little pieces of paper with numbers around his dog’s neck and on his paws, turning him into a calculator. The boy points with his finger, adds out loud, and the dog stays right there, still, with his eyes closed and the patience of someone who already knows the routine.
Yuanbao isn’t new to this. He has kept the kids in the family company while they do their homework since he was a puppy, and he got so used to their study sessions that sometimes he falls asleep while they read aloud or recite poems.
The video went viral on Chinese social media, and among the comments, someone joked that when they run out of fingers, they can always use the dog’s teeth.
In the end, the real calculation the child made was a different one: studying is easier when someone with four legs stays by your side.
