During her press tour for ‘Odyssey,’ Zendaya has been collecting magazine-worthy looks. But at a photocall in London, something caught the attention of archaeologists and historians more than any dress: her earrings. 💎

They were 3,000-year-old gold discs, part of the Ziwiye treasure, found in northwestern Iran in the late 1940s. A jeweler turned them into earrings, and the firm Barron London acquired them afterward. For many, those pieces belong in a museum, not on a red carpet, and criticism was quick to follow. “As an Iranian… I want to fight 🙂 even though I love Zendaya. This is incredibly ignorant”, wrote one user.

Others point out that she probably just wore what she was given, and that the real question is how those jewels ended up for sale. Zendaya, for now, has said nothing. 🕯️
