New transcripts revealed that Bryan Kohberger’s mother refused to believe that her son was responsible for the murder of four students in Idaho, and told FBI agents that it was all a mistake. “He is my angel,” the woman said, and even insisted: “My son wouldn’t do this. I swear on my life.”
“What’s going through my head right now is that this is a very, very serious mistake, what is happening, what is going on here,” she said in disbelief at the time of the arrest.
She admitted that it was her idea for her son to have a knife in case he ran into a bear; however, Bryan cold-bloodedly stabbed Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen and Ethan Chapin.
Kohberger pleaded guilty to the murders, avoiding the death penalty and is serving four life sentences without the possibility of parole.
