Mexican fighter Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramírez went through one of the toughest nights of his career when he faced the undefeated David Benavidez. What was expected to be an even fight ended up becoming a beating.
From the start, Benavidez imposed his pace: faster, more precise, and far more aggressive. Round after round, he punished “Zurdo’s” face, landing constant combinations.
The most shocking moment came when the damage was already obvious: Ramírez had one eye completely swollen and practically shut, and he ended up kneeling on the canvas, overwhelmed by the punishment.
The result was terrible damage, facial edema with a possible orbital fracture, from facing the beast that is Benavidez.
