Saffron Cole-Nottage, 32, died after becoming trapped between rocks on the coast of Lowestoft, in the United Kingdom, while out walking with her daughter and her dog. The victim slipped in a rocky area and ended up trapped face down between the rocks, just as the tide was beginning to rise.

Two men who were passing by tried to help her, but they were unable to free her, so they alerted emergency services. During the call, the operator did not understand that the accident was happening in a coastal area and instructed them not to move the woman. By the time rescue teams finally arrived – 30 minutes later – the tide had already risen and Saffron showed no signs of life.

During a court hearing, it was stated that there was confusion in the emergency response, which may have delayed the arrival of specialized teams. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the case and possible failures in the rescue operation.
