Mathieu Flamini played for clubs such as Arsenal, Marseille, and AC Milan, and after retiring from soccer, he decided to found GFBiochemicals, a company dedicated to developing sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based products.

“We founded it with the ambition of finding sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based products,” said the Frenchman.

What few expected was that the company would be a resounding success, valued at over $30 billion, making Flamini one of the wealthiest former soccer players in history.
