We all know very well how expensive it is to organize a wedding: the photographer, the menu for the guests, the guest list, the venue for the celebration, and many, many other things that have to be taken into account, resulting in a total bill that would knock anyone flat. However, what people sometimes don’t understand is that there are other ways to celebrate.
And that is exactly what this newlywed couple from Japan, Kaz and Mariko Yamaguchi, did. They decided to use all the money that had been set aside for their wedding to travel around the world, on an adventure that lasted 400 days. The best part? The trip was wonderfully documented with a drone.

Spending just over 60 dollars a day, this couple treated themselves to a trip across 48 different countries: they traveled to places such as the artificial archipelago of Palm Jumeirah, the Amazon rainforest, the Deadvlei desert in Namibia, one of the areas of Aboriginal villages in Ethiopia, and the walled city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, among many others.
Before the trip, Kaz Yamaguchi bought the drone without much hope, since he had no idea how to use it, but with time and practice he learned and achieved very good results. The entire trip was recorded with this device, which allowed Kaz to capture high-quality panoramic shots and show the beautiful surroundings of the places they visited.

“We’re not the kind of people who like taking selfies, but since it was our honeymoon we decided to take as many photos as possible (…) I didn’t know how to use the drone, I had only practiced a couple of times in Japan before leaving on the trip.”
The video the Yamaguchis made to document their entire journey is on YouTube, and to date it has accumulated more than 1,600,000 views.
