In a world dominated by Instagram filters and halftime shows dripping with sensuality, Adele remains the exception to the rule.

With her elegance and unparalleled voice, the British singer made it clear that she doesn’t sell “bodies”, but art.

“I don’t make music for the eyes, I make it for the ears,” she declared, insisting she will never follow the trend of many current artists who appear nearly naked in their shows to grab attention.

In an iconic interview with Rolling Stone, which has resurfaced, the singer was blunt: “I’ve seen people whose main focus is to be hotter and hotter or have bigger breasts. You’re a singer!”

For her, music must stand on its own, without resorting to bikinis or skimpy outfits on stage.
