Many famous women have nannies, assistants, and entire teams helping them with their children. It’s not unusual: between tours, brands, interviews, and impossible schedules, raising children with outside support is usually almost part of the package.

But Rihanna decided to do it differently. The singer revealed that she doesn’t have nannies to take care of her children because she wants to be present during this stage. And she explained it with a very direct phrase: “I didn’t wait 35 years for someone else to raise my kids.”

According to what she said, after waiting so long to become a mother, she prefers to be involved in everything: the beautiful, the tiring, and also the demanding. She doesn’t want to watch motherhood from afar or delegate that bond to someone else.

That doesn’t mean she has it easy. Between her career, her projects, and motherhood, she has still had to find her own balance. But her stance was clear: if she decided to be a mother, she also wants to live that part up close.

And of course, coming from a celebrity of her level, it draws even more attention. Because while many could pay for all the help in the world, Rihanna seems to have it clear: her children are not something she wants to outsource.
