Today marks 22 years since the final episode of Friends premiered. The series that brought laugh-filled marathons to fans was not the same for actress Lisa Kudrow, who bluntly commented on what was happening behind the scenes.

In an interview with The Times, the actress who played Phoebe Buffay said that “the writers stayed late talking about fantasies involving Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox,” which brings back Amaani Lyle’s lawsuit, a script assistant who sued Warner Bros. in 2004 for sexual harassment by the writers.

Kudrow also says that if a script went off track or didn’t get laughs from the more than 400 people who attended the set while the series was being filmed, “the creative team’s response could be devastating.”
“Does the bitch not know how to read? She’s not even trying and she ruined my line” are the expressions she reported.

“Out of sight, out of mind” was the actress’s mantra during the filming of Friends so she could finish the series. “I developed an iron shell that allowed me to finish what I started,” she said in the interview.
