Argentina national team goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez will have his own movie on Netflix. The film will be called Dibu Martínez: The Kid Who Stops Time, and it will premiere on May 28.
It will tell the story of the world champion from his childhood in Mar del Plata to becoming one of the most important heroes of Argentine football.
The production will blend animation, live-action footage, and personal archival material. It will also include interviews with key figures in his career such as Lionel Messi and Lionel Scaloni.
According to Netflix, the story will show a young Dibu who “can stop time,” a metaphor for the saves that defined his career and the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
