Firefighters managed to rescue four cats alive after they were trapped in an apartment fire in Jurupa Valley, California. Upon entering the scene, they found three of the animals unconscious and not breathing.
The rescuers quickly carried the cats out and began performing resuscitation measures, including chest compressions and oxygen administration, with the help of a police officer. Thanks to these actions, the animals gradually regained consciousness.
“We treated him as if he were an unconscious pediatric patient who wasn’t breathing,” said one of the heroes.
The fire was brought under control in about an hour. One person suffered minor injuries, and several apartments were damaged, forcing multiple residents to evacuate. Authorities emphasized that animals are also part of families, so they did everything possible to save them 💖.
