A video circulating on social media captured the moment a trans woman was removed from the women’s restroom at the Cineteca Nacional in Mexico City.

The incident began when a security officer forcefully knocked on the door of her stall, sparking the woman’s outrage. “This is an act of discrimination—we’re tired of this,” she said, visibly upset, while questioning how many more times situations like this would happen in public spaces.

Following the incident, the situation escalated in an unexpected way. As a form of protest and retaliation, the woman returned to the venue with a group of supporters to demonstrate. However, the protest ended with the looting of the facility’s snack bar.

“They’re removing trans women from the bathroom—I am a woman,” she had previously stated. Now, she is facing legal consequences for these actions and has asked her followers to share her case to raise awareness about her current legal situation.
