According to a study, women feel more attracted to men with a belly than to muscular men

Alright, let’s understand one thing… maybe the six-pack is a little overrated. While many still believe that a defined abdomen is the ultimate calling card, a study cited by Chilevisión came to say something quite different: many women feel more attracted to men with a “belly.”

According to surveys by Planet Fitness and Men’s Journal, 65% of the women surveyed said that men with a belly seem more attractive to them, while 61% consider them outright sexy. In other words, it seems the famous “dad bod” wasn’t an inside joke: it had a loyal audience.

And the data continues. Half of the respondents admitted that they prefer this type of body over one with the classic defined abdomen, the one usually sold as the absolute ideal. Another survey by Men’s Journal even pointed to something similar: several women said they like a body “where there’s something to grab onto” more than one that is completely toned.

The interesting part is that it’s not just about the belly itself, but what it projects. A less produced body, more relaxed and less obsessed with looking perfect, can end up being much more attractive than someone who lives counting calories as if they were preparing for a competition.

So yeah, maybe many people hid their belly for years without knowing that, for some, that was precisely the charm. A defined abdomen will have its fans, of course… but the “dad bod” clearly doesn’t lack supporters either.
