“I have to quit because I’m very unwell. And that really surprises me. It’s very difficult to attract the interest of young talent,” declared the Argentine María Julia Oliván to Teleshow.

The passing of the years is never in vain, since there are always changes, no matter how small they may be, and that can be noticed when we compare different generations.

For example, if we compare the childhood of our grandparents, we will see that it is not the same as that of children today. And the same happens with young people, who have adopted customs that in the past would have been considered “strange.”

Through an interview with Teleshow, the Argentine journalist María Julia Oliván spoke about what her family life has been like while caring for her son with autism and after having suffered depression, but as the conversation flowed she touched on other aspects such as the labor world to make a critique.
And she pointed to what many call the “glass generation.”

María Julia said in the interview that her current concern is the “destruction of work culture,” as a result of the “glass generation” and the differences it has with her own in the labor world.
“What truly terrifies me is how the culture of work, progress, study, and interest has been destroyed. The other day I posted a notice to find writers and in the description I put that they should not be or perceive themselves as part of the glass generation,” she told Teleshow.

And her comment didn’t stop there, since she also gave more specific examples to explain what she meant. “There is a generation whose cat dies and they stop working. I have to quit because I’m very unwell. And that really surprises me,” she pointed out in the interview. “It’s very difficult to attract the interest of young talent,” she added.
And despite the journalist explaining that this is a “decline of many years” and stating that new aspirations are to become an influencer or a trap artist, her statements did not leave people on social media indifferent.

“She can’t say such nonsense. For many, a cat is one more member, worthy of love and great companionship,” someone commented on YouTube, while another person pointed out that “There are people who only have a pet, it surprises me that your heart is not moved by the death of a pet.”
“I prefer this generation to the one that mistreated animals,” “Glass generation = taking one’s own mental health into account,” and “My dog died and I spent a week in bed crying! No one can tell you how much to suffer or why,” some users stated on Instagram.

The difference between generations can be noticeable in many aspects, but the death of a pet is not something that one gets over from one day to the next. What do you think?
