Dominik Krause has been elected mayor of Munich, marking a historic moment as both the first Green Party leader and the city’s first out gay mayor. The 35-year-old secured victory with 56.4% of the vote, defeating former Social Democratic Party mayor Dieter Reiter in the run-off.
