The 59-year-old man was found guilty of harassment after trying to destroy the family next door with a web of lies.
Enraged because his neighbors reported that his Weimaraner puppy howled nonstop and lived in precarious conditions, Dean filed false complaints with the police and social services, claiming that the couple abused their 15- and 9-year-old children.
The ordeal included traumatic visits from social workers and interrogations of the children, one of whom is autistic. The court determined that it was all a malicious act of retaliation following the noise complaints.
